Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi 6 Pro have started receiving the Mui 10.3 Global stable update based on Android 9 pie. With the latest update, both the Radmi Note 5 Pro and the Radmi 6 Pro smartphones will get system-wide dark mode. Many users in India have confirmed that Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi 6 Pro get MIUI 10.3 Global stable updates.
According to the User Report on the Meiu Community Forum, Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi 6 Pro smartphones have been getting the MUI 10.3 Global stable update in India. The file size of the update is approximately 1.6 GB. The software version of the update for Redmi Note 5 Pro is MIUI 10.3.1.0.PEIMIXM.
On the other hand, the version of the update available to Redmi 6 Pro is MIUI 10.3.2.0.PDMMIXM. Both the Redmi Note 5 Pro and the Redmi 6 Pro are getting the Android security patches on May 2019. Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi 6 Pro will get system-wide dark mode with the latest updates, with this help the user can change background color from default white to black. This also causes less stress on the eyes.
Android features and gesture based navigation systems are also available with the new UI update. In order to secure the install app, updates to the credit card unlock are also being provided.
If you have not received an update notification yet, you can check for updates by going to Settings> About phone> System update. It is advisable to back up your data before updating. FoneArena first reported the update rollout.
Recall that Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 5 Pro in India in February last year with the Mayuu 9 based on Android Noaga. In June last year, the phone received the MUI 9.5 update based on Android Orio. In addition, the company had released the Mui 10.9.3 Global Beta update based on Android Pie for Redmi Note 5 Pro in April.
On the other hand, Redmi 6 Pro was launched in September last year with the MayuI 9 based on Android Orrio. In November, the handset received the MIUI 10 Global stable ROM update based on Android Orio. Last month, Xiaomi released the MIUI 10.3.2 Global stable update for the Redmi Note 6 Pro.
